„We reckon these young upstarts could go far, head over to their myspace page and check them out on tour before it goes global.“ (Exposure, Best New Music Feature)
- Rock Sound magazine
“All Or Nothing’s fast, spirited pop-punk, preoccupied with long hot summers, makes them the obvious choice to open a night of shiny punk like this.“ (5 K Live Kerrang Review, Broadway Calls show)
- Kerrang! magazine
“Birmingham’s All Or Nothing team up with Brighton boys Chaos Days for this offering and the result is one of pleasingly consistent quality. The former’s melodic yet gritty output will surely appeal to fans of Alkaline Trio and suchlike; All Or Nothing just about have the edge, their deceptively weighty riffs served up alongside saccharine sweet vocal harmonies you can hum along to.“ (8/10 split EP Review)
- Rock Sound magazine
“On the strength of songs like ‚This Is Very Impossible’ – which is sadly only available digitally – All Or Nothing won’t need much help for long. Their reluctance to go double bass-crazy is respectable, while a high-flying guitar solo takes the song from punk-and-done to repeat-button-rocker.“
- absolutepunk.net
“There’s no doubt All Or Nothing are one of the most improved bands of 2008, they are progressing as a band all the time. The tracks on this split ‚Distances’ are as good as any they’ve done and they are getting better and better.“
- Punktastic.com
Biography
Like many young punk bands, All Or Nothing have had their fair share of line-up changes, since their inception in 2004, having come together through a mutual love for all things punk-rock and a passionate interest in local shows in and around their native Birmingham.
All Or Nothing pride themselves on having always played their own blend of fast-paced punk-rock, without overlooking killer hooks and a well placed melody. It’s this formula that has seen the band knock up shows alongside the likes of heavyweights such as Funeral For A Friend, Kids In Glass Houses, Cancer Bats, Gallows, Frank Turner, Set Your Goals and You Me At Six.
In keeping with their fierce D.I.Y ethos, the band released their debut E.P ‘Is Pretty Hot Right Now’ in November of 2007, through Zone 6 Records (Living With Lions, Fireworks). The effort was produced by John Mitchell (Enter Shikari, You Me At Six, Funeral For A Friend) and even got a release in Japan via the Inya Face label.
The international toe-dipping doesn’t stop there either, the band became the first of their kind (unsigned UK pop-punk band) to tour Russia. Their six-date tour saw them drawing 300-400 people a night and concluded with a support slot with fellow brits Bring Me The Horizon in Moscow to just under 4,000 people.
With half a dozen full UK tours now under their belts, the band marked their July tour with stateside pop-punkers The Wonder Years with their first vinyl release, on US label No Sleep Records. The 7” was practically sold out before its official release date, with pre-orders surpassing everybody involved’s expectations.
The Midlands based quartet are now set to release a split E.P with Brighton based pop-punks, Chaos Days, through All Aboard Records. The release features two eagerly awaited brand new tracks, that have already been met with positive reaction in live settings and weekly airplay on Kerrang! radios unsigned show. The CD is due for release on Monday 7th Dec ‚09.
The winter period will then be spent writing their long awaited debut full-length, with a view to using a big name producer in America in the spring. With their flawless work ethic, and a full-length very much in the works, there’ll be no avoiding All Or Nothing in 2010.
