BIO:
Slingshot Dakota is a two-piece band from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Carly Comando plays keyboard through a variety of distortion and effects pedals and provides the band’s main vocals, while Tom Patterson melts faces with his passionate and enthusiastic drumming. Inspired by punk and hardcore, Slingshot Dakota play with fiery intensity, while playing music that rides the line between indie rock and pop punk. Their songs show a large range of emotions, both in lyrical content and musical crescendo, and deal predominantly with living life with no regrets.

Past tourmates have included a wide range of bands — AFI, Tiger Army, Street Dogs, A Place to Bury Strangers, The Explosion, As Tall As Lions, Theo and the Skyscrapers, Paulson, Read Yellow, The Kinison, The Pale Pacific, Kane Hodder, Silent Drive, and others — and the band has been on numerious one-off or weekend tours with the likes of Interpol, The Bronx, Darker My Love, Hot Hot Heat, Thursday, Cave In, The Start, Junius, TREOS, and many more.

The Static Age has also drawn the creative energy of other artists as well as DJs. Bitter End are an intense hardcore band from San Antonio, Texas, influenced by the metallic New York Hardcore bands of the late 80′s and early 90′s. With their exhaustive touring and their debut 7″EP “Mind In Chains”, they established themselves as a brute force in the hardcore community. Refining their mid-tempo power displayed in their previous release, Bitter End took it to the next level with their debut album, “Climate of Fear”. Tight production accentuated song after song, creating a controlled chaos few bands could ever achieve. They soon after followed this album with a three song “Self Titled” 7″EP. A release that displayed a band evolving and refining their technical ability and song writing power.

2010 brings us “Guilty As Charged”, the pummeling new album from Bitter End. With all the makings of a contemporary hardcore classic, “Guilty As Charged” bruises and batters with dynamic riffing, potent vocals/lyrics, and bone shaking breakdowns. Songs like “Unjust” and the title track “Guilty As Charged” showcase this hybrid brand of hard hitting thrash and hardcore. BIO:
Horror Show was formed in Philadelphia in the summer of 2000 by Domenic Palermo, Joshua Tshirlig, and Matthew Dempsey. Their self titled demo was released that years winter. It was a raw mixture of fast paced punk rock with powerful hardcore breakdowns and tied together with poetically bleak lyricism that screamed out loss, regret, and hopelessness.
The demo and its tremors were felt 300 miles northeast in Massachusetts by Jacob Bannon and Tre McCarthy of Deathwish Inc. and Horror Show were quickly contacted for a release under the label.

In the next two years HS would release, “Our Design” and “The Holiday EP” on 7″ vinyl. The two releases were filled with the same pain from the demo, but there was even more aggression that was fueled by life on the streets of Philadelphia and a seemingly clairvoyant sight to the unavoidable series of tragedies that were about to take place.
In 2002 the incarceration of Domenic Palermo and inevitable 7 year prison sentence for a stabbing left the group in a forced hiatus. A legendary benefit show was held shortly after where special guests Wesley Eisold of American Nightmare/Cold Cave, Jacob Bannon of Converge, George Hirsch of Blacklisted, Joe Hardcore, and others were all invited to take Palermo’s vocal position for one live song each.

After serving the minimum 2 years in Garden State Correctional Facility, Palermo was released, but the dark cloud still floated above their heads. Tragedy again, would strike twice the next two years with the loss of childhood friend, Daniel Stone and original member Tshirlig. Too many legs were kicked off of their table and HS called it quits.
A discography LP featuring all of HS’s music titled, “Notes From The Night That Never Ended” was released in 2010. Palermo cited, “Its a dedication to the friends who lost life or freedom dealing with the struggles being raised in Philadelphia. We died when they died. When they went to jail, we did. This is a celebration of the times we all shared when we were alive and free.”

Formed in 2006, Dead Swans have been making a name throughout the UK and Europe with a ferocious blend of hardcore that takes the musical influence from turn of the century Boston hardcore like American Nightmare and Right Brigade. They add a discordant melody and double bass metallic edge that, when combined with vocalist Nick Worthington’s strained voicebox abuse, creates a mix that has been garnering the Brighton, UK band global attention. As such, they have shared the stage and the road wi
th a very impressive list of bands worldwide-from Bridge Nine’s Ruiner and Verse to Blacklisted, Integrity, Alexisonfire, Cancer Bats, and Gallows. Dead Swans have been enjoying an incredible past 12 months, considering all they’ve released to date is a demo, the Southern Blue EP on Thirty Days Of Night, and a split 7” with Architects. In fall of 2008, the Dead Swans were nominated for a Kerrang! Award as the Best British Newcomer-which was both as surprising as it was flattering. As guitarist Stewart “Pid” Payne stated, “It was real strange- a hardcore band being shortlisted at Kerrang! Awards, but we went for the experience. We got to hang out with the guys in Cancer Bats and Gallows, we got to meet Metallica and we heckled abuse at anyone we felt deserved it. It was a night we won’t be forgetting soon”. During March and April, the band will be touring the UK and Europe with This Is Hell and the Blackout Argument that will lead them into April, when the band will be entering the studio to record their debut full-length which will hit stores later in 2009. Payne stated, “We are real happy about signing to Bridge Nine. We all want to travel worldwide with this band and working with B9 is going to allow us to do this. On top of that, being part of a label that in our opinion has put out some of the best hardcore records ever is exciting!” More news and that eventual USA tour will most definitely be coming soon

Xerxes took shape in early 2009 in Louisville, KY. What was once may soon
again be the hub of some of the most ferocious and original music coming
out of the country’s punk and hardcore underbelly. Xerxes‘ sound channels
the energy and passion of mid-90′s originators You and I and Saetia, while
adding the more upbeat and brutal thrash mentality of contemporaries such
as Trash Talk and Ampere, making for a sound that runs the gamut of
blast-beat aggression and emotional rumination.

Xerxes have announced they’ll begin recording their debut LP in early
September with Kevin Ratterman (Coliseum, My Morning Jacket) at the
Funeral Home in Louisville, and will be kicking off close to a month of US
tour dates around the Midwest and East Coast in May, followed by US tour
dates with Native, Former Thieves and more this Summer.

Pentimento entered the studio early this year (2011) to record their newest EP “Wrecked”. Pentimento‘s process of writing and recording Wrecked was to weed out any possibility of artificial factors or “studio magic”. The goal was to bring the most genuine and real instance to the listener with the hopes that the same experience that is put across live, comes across on their recordings. During spring of 2006 two young bands formed into a single one, which were playing the material mostly close to metalcore.In the result of the crisis and bad relationships the band were playing the last show in March 2007 and announced they will break up, leaving only a couple of demos after them. Not being able to live without music, the guitarist (Mike) and the vocalist (Peter) decided to find new members, who would be good enough to become a family. After a long period of sound experiments, after two drummers, a guitarist and a bass player got replaced, in October 2007 the members got finally found. Absolutely new music, which had nothing in common with the previous material got written as a result of all members putting themselves into the process. New tracks reflect the souls of the musicians. From the very first show the band began a race for success. After several euro tours they will be back in 2012 on the road, with a new record under their belt!

BIO:

Grieved is the new Swedish hc promise, Stockolm has never been stronger before. With a sound containing both fast, pounding parts and heavy down-tempo sections, and with lyrics ranging from social criticism to self-contempt, these kids play negative but honest music. “Ageing” is Grieveds first recording and features four desperate tracks out now on anchors Aweigh Records. The band already got an amazing feedback after touring europe with Runes and is looking to put all its effort into more tours and releases.

Wrong Answer is a hardcore band from Philadelphia and the surrounding area. They play punk-influenced hardcore that is somewhat reminiscent of “Systems Overload” era Integrity, as well as several other artists whose names begin with Rs: Ringworm, Right Brigade, The Ramones, Raw Deal, Ramallah and Raekwon. They define their sound as “Naughty Youth Crew”. Wrong Answer’s songs deal with topics like the struggle against fate, demonic possession, drug dealing, juvenile delinquency, and manual labor.

Known for their unpredictable and often strange live show, Wrong Answer will be hitting the road this winter with their friends and label-mates Agitator in support of their debut 7 inch on Harvcore records, “The World Is Empty”. Having self-released an EP last year called “The Wrong Way”, “The World Is Empty” shows the natural progression of Wrong Answer’s sound. The four new songs on the record can be viewed as calculated attempts to encourage rooms full of degenerate teenagers to engage in risky and demented behavior. If you don’t agree that “The World Is Empty” is one of the top 12 releases to come out of Bucks County in 2010, then you’ve got the wrong answer, bitch.
