La Dispute | Le Pré Où Je Suis Mort
04.06.10 – 26.06.10
This is one of the first tours were going to announce in 2010 and also it is the one I am looking forward very much. When I listened to LA DISPUTE the first time it had totally blown my mind and it’s still my daily fellow since almost a year now. This band has even everything i am looking for (for so long!) Basically based in the fields of Post Hardcore their discography shows that it is honestly impossible to nail them into just one category of music. Every record goes its own path between poems accompanied by music, deeply emotional lyrics and an awesome songwriting. And everyone that is into bands like ENVY will love LE PRÉ OÙ JE SUIS MORT as well.Their selftiteld debut provides an insight into the dark and melancolic sides of life and will awake your interest to see them life for sure. You can Download their debut on for free on denovali.com.
Please get in touch with me at george@nodeclinebooking.com if you are interested. Thanks, George

BIO:
La Dispute is a five-piece band from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Their blend of post-hardcore, progressive rock, and screamo has begun to build a palpable underground buzz worldwide, with the late 2008 release of their first full-length album, entitled “Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair”. The band hopes that the album accurately displays their growth both as individuals and as a single artistic unit, while creating an end product that encourages the listener to both think and feel. Drawing its title from an Asian folktale, “Somewhere” attempts to prompt discussion regarding the aspects of ourselves that prevent us from maintaining our
happiness as people by documenting both their own experiences in the matter and the experiences of those around them, while musically encouraging the listener to expand their notions of music and art by exploring time signatures, tempos, dynamic, song structures, etc. The result of countless sleepless nights, exhaustingly precise recording sessions, and a diligence bordering psychosis, “Somewhere” is far and away the band’s most mature, articulate, and diverse release thus far, expanding significantly upon the groundwork from its previous two short releases. Recorded at Studiotte in Grand Rapids by Joel and Troy Otte with artwork by Nick Satinover, “Somewhere” attempts to display an unceasing passion for art, emotion, love, community, and any other aspect of life that similarly inspires humanity to create for the better.

BIO:
Le pré où je suis mort (meaning «the field where I died») was created in 2006 by five musicians, after a singer switch and the arrival of a second guitarist. Four songs are composed by the band and recorded by Rémi in his room during the summer of 2006. Soon after the recording, the bass player decides to leave the band and is replaced. The mixing, also done by Rémi, takes more time than it was supposed to so the release of the EP has to be postponed. The band then plays its first show, thanks to the Kab of l’Usine, with Forceed, Llorah and Omni II. Some others would follow next to Sed non satiata, Requiem for sirens…The cd version of the EP finally comes out in December of 2007 on Ape must not kill ape records. A show is organized by Marianne (from ApeMNKape) with Rabbit theory in a house in Baden which shows the band they prefer tiny venues to big concert halls. The vinyl version of the EP is now available thanks to Denovali records (denovali.com), Communication is not words (comisnotwords.com) and In girum nocte (myspace.com/ingirumnocte). You can also download the EP for free on Denovali’s website (see blog)
